About KhataSheet
"Khata" is the account book. KhataSheet turns bank statements into clean sheets and vouchers, without taking your clients' data anywhere.
Why we built it
Every month, accountants and bookkeepers across India retype or clean up dozens of bank statements. Most converters need you to upload those statements to someone's server. For a practice handling client data, that is an uncomfortable trade.
KhataSheet does the work inside your browser. The PDF is opened on your device, the table is read, and every row is checked against the bank's own running balance. If something doesn't add up, we show you exactly where instead of quietly guessing.
Principles
- Private by design. No uploads for digital PDFs. Optional server features are off by default and always ask first.
- Accuracy over speed. Amounts are handled in paise, and a statement isn't "done" until it reconciles.
- Made for Indian books. Indian bank formats, UPI narrations, GST, and Tally-compatible vouchers with suspense and contra ledgers.
Status
KhataSheet is new and free during launch. If a statement from your bank doesn't convert cleanly, please tell us. A description of the layout (or a redacted sample) helps us add support quickly.
